He found success with his latest directorial job, Captain Fantastic and now actor/writer Matt Ross has found his next potential film behind the camera. He's boarded an adaptation of Tom Sweterlitsch's sci-fi novel Tomorrow And Tomorrow.

The 2014 book is set in a near future where a mysterious explosion has wiped Pittsburgh from the map, but the city is later recreated in a virtual reality setting called the Archive. A man who has lost his wife and child in a tragedy goes into the construct and discovers a murder vicim who was not recorded by its system, sparking a mystery.

"Tomorrow And Tomorrow is prescient, it posits a world not so dissimilar from today, a direction we are all clearly headed, where technology has altered the ways in which we interact with each other and the world around us,” Ross says in a statement carried The Hollywood Reporter. “I hope to examine, following the book's lead, the degree to which our lives are enhanced, and deeply compromised, by the technology that is already an inseparable part of our daily existence."

Sony's TriStar arm is producing this one, and Ross will now either write the adaptation himself or find someone to handle the script.
