Following his introduction in Captain America: Civil War, the brand new iteration of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, personified by Tom Holland, will be in his own film being readied for a 2017 release. It's clearly time to build the cast and Deadline has heard that actress and singer Zendaya will be part of it.

So far, all we really know about the role is that she'll be playing someone called Michelle, but there's no indication that it's one of the main characters.
