Australia's attempt to make the next Hangover follows three British lads Down Under as they share best man duties at their friend’s (Xavier Samuel) wedding to a politician’s daughter (Laura Brent). Of course, things go horribly wrong, only without the required ‘hilarious consequences’. Death At A Funeral writer Dean Craig fails to find much humour despite contrived comedy situations (Man with a Hitler ’tache! Olivia Newton-John on coke! Sheep wearing lipstick!). The Brit boys (Kris Marshall in particular) are game, but the leads are risible and the tone is arch even for the director of The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.

After a ten-day holiday fling, and one of the most ambiguous proposals on screen, British backpacker David Lockling (Samuel) and Australian Mia Damme (Laura Brent) are ready to get married. She has a straight-laced, high-class political family, who are efficiently and carefully organising the nuptials; he has three laddish mates (Marshall, Bishop and Draxl) who are set to ruin everything with guns, sheep, drugs and general ignorance.
