Or, the Continuing Largely Unfunny Cinematic Adventures Of One Of Adam Sandler's Mates. Rob Schneider, he of the minimal comic talent and "You can do it!" cameos in almost every Sandler flick, here gets another chance - after Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo - at stardom of his very own with this shaggy dog tale in which his put-upon cop becomes a man/animal hybrid.

But although his poodle hairdo and animerisms are spot-on, there's just not enough here to fulfil the undoubted comic potential of the premise, which instead takes refuge in sanitised gross-out humour; the laughs strangely drying up post-transformation. There are two genuinely hilarious gags which will leave you chuckling long into the night, but otherwise, this bites.
