In terms of scale and ambition the adventure is flawless, giving gamers complete freedom to explore some 250km of South American jungle where you can tackle challenges in whatever order you like, play rival factions off against each other, or simply drive around for hours slaughtering wild animals. Christ, you can even ditch the quest altogether and become a hopeless alcoholic in a local bar!
But while Boiling Point is one of the biggest games on the shelves, it's also a bug-ridden shambles; getaway cars mysteriously disappear when you need them most, characters fail to deliver their most important lines, and fleeing enemies often get snagged in the chunky scenery, trapped in a perpetual jog until you put them out of their misery.
