Aping the animated style of the hugely successful X-Men and Spider-Man ’toons of the ’90s, Hulk was a late addition to the Marvel Animated Universe - a concept that let characters from different series share the same continuity (and a trick adapted for Marvel’s most recent cinematic output). This picks up with Bruce Banner already established as the green giant, on the run from the military and taking on all manner of villains. More po-faced than the previously mentioned comic cartoons, this incarnation at least has the sense to copy from its superior cousins - but the good news is that the rest of the Animated efforts are also headed DVD-wards.
