CSI: Miami Season 1, Part 1 Review

Character is always key to cop shows, and CSI: Miami’s main problem is that it doesn’t have any characters, only the cynical casting of ex-NYPD Blue co-stars David Caruso and Kim Delaney, and a demographically correct supporting cast (white chick, black chick, Latino guy, young buck etc).

The writers have done their homework, but the orange-filtered photography is as dated as a Miami Vice re-run. The foolproof ‘forensics’ formula survives the odd episode but fans should stick to the superior Las Vegas-set original.
