You'd have thought after the events of the first two seasons of The White Lotus that maybe the eponymous chain of luxury, seemingly murder magnetised resorts might've shut up shop and called it a day. Instead, having brought death to Hawaii and Sicily already, showrunner Mike White is bringing his intoxicatingly heady cocktail of sun, sex, secrecy, and serious star power to Thailand for a third round of murder mystery madness. This time out, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Jason Isaacs (hello!), Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, and Blackpink's Lisa are among the guests and spa workers (un)fortunate enough to find themselves at the worst best hotel in the world. Check out the trailer below;
Banging outfits. Crooked elites. Gorgeous beaches. Loaded guns. Secrets and whispers and endless cocktails. Ah, White Lotus — it's like we never checked out! Yes, after the wild (and wise) Sicilian shenanigans of Season 2, it looks like Mike White is going bigger, bolder, and more balls-to-the-wall in the stakes raising department than ever for his third killer holiday. As this new trailer shows, this time around we're getting Parker Posey and Jason Isaacs as a couple on the cusp of ruin ("We're poor now... and daddy's going to prison!" shrieks Isaacs at one point); Monaghan, Coon, and Bibb as a trio of girlfriends looking to roll back the years; Goggins and Wood as an age-gap couple harbouring a potentially murderous secret on the Walton side; and first season spa manager Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) back back back, relocated but more than ready to call out BS when things start getting a little crazy. Which they do. And fast.
"Our hotel is the best in the world," says a concierge early on in the trailer. "At the end of the week you'll be an entirely different person." Something tells us that isn't necessarily going to be a cause for celebration for our latest smorgasbord of slaughterable stars. We'll find out who leaves on a plane — and who leaves in a body bag — when The White Lotus Season 3 premieres on Sky on 17 February.
