This week's episode of the Pilot TV Podcast is a guest-free, show-heavy bonanza with three series from three separate streamers on our agenda. First up, we’re on the hunt for the president’s killer with Sterling K. Brown in political thriller Paradise on Disney+. Switching over to Channel 4 next, we're heading back to the ‘80s to re-live one of the final interviews with Margaret Thatcher in Steve Coogan and Harriet Walter starrer Brian And Maggie. Finally, for some light relief, we're catching up with Rob McElhenney’s misfit band of game devs in the newly released fourth season of Mythic Quest on Apple TV+.

Away from the reviews, this week's listener question, inspired by Landman on Paramount+, has James Dyer, Boyd Hilton, and Kay Ribeiro reflecting on the surprise hit shows of 2024 (Baby Reindeer, Mr Bates Vs. The Post Office, and Shōgun chat abound). Then, heading into the latest news from the world of TV, the team discuss the cancellations of Frasier, Shardlake, and Extraordinary; celebrate the renewal of High Potential and confirmation at last of Hacks Season 3 and 4 getting snapped up by Sky for UK airing; ponder the latest Harlan Coben adaptation, Runaway; and try to contain their excitement at Titus Welliver's potential Equalizer spin-off show. All that, plus the gang have a chinwag about what they've been watching over the last seven days, which — in news that will come as no surprise — mostly consists of Severance and The Traitors. As ever, faithful listeners, please do enjoy!
