Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 2 Review

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 2

The second series of Larry David’s marvellous, edgy impro-com sees our hapless hero becoming a car salesman, being branded a wife-beater, and generally managing to annoy almost everybody in Los Angeles just by being his own neurotic self. The improvised dialogue is as fresh and funny as it was in Series 1, but the show’s real joy lies in its beautifully constructed storylines, every bit as cringe-inducing as they are hilarious.

Further proof then, if indeed it were needed, that not all US TV comedies need canned laughter and telegraphed one-liners to succeed.
