Actor-turned-Childhood Of A Leader director Brady Corbet already has Rooney Mara as the lead of his next film, Vox Lux. He's adding Jude Law to co-star with her.

Vox Lux, which Corbet plans to shoot on 65mm film for screening in 70mm, is planned as a 15-year story that spans from 1999 until the present day. Mara will be Celeste, a singer who rises to superstardom and observes the 21st century's big cultural changes.

Law will be Celeste's manager, though Variety's story on the casting doesn't specify whether he'll be an ally or one of those corrupt, scheming pop music svengali types.

And to make sure the music sounds authentic, Corbet is turning to Sia, no stranger to success herself, to provide songs for the soundtrack. The cameras should be rolling early next year.

Law is the star of Paolo Sorrentino's TV drama The Young Pope, which starts on Sky Atlantic on 21 October (and just put out a new teaser trailer). He'll also be seen in Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword, due in UK cinemas on 24 March next year.
