You've probably already seen the initial images from the new Dwayne Johnson-starring action pic Rampage, which reunites him with his San Andreas director Brad Peyton. The first trailer for the monster mash-up is now online.
Johnson here is primatologist Davis Okoye, a man who holds people at a distance, but is close with his best friend, George, a remarkably intelligent silverback gorilla he has been caring for since birth. But then George is injected with an experimental serum, which makes him grow to enormous size. As George and some other equally enlarged (and enraged) creatures cut a swathe of destruction across big cities, Okoye must team up with disgraced genetic scientist Dr. Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris) to save both his friend and the day.
We're promised huge action and the typically human action hero played by Johnson. Also present? The likes of Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacey, PJ Byrne and, unless we're very much mistaken, Jeffrey Dean Morgan channelling a little Negan for his officious agent type.
Rampage is out in the UK on 13 April next year.
