Based on the true life tale of Molly Bloom (and her bestselling memoir of the same name), Molly's Game tells the story of an Olympic-class skier turned-business mogul turned-underground gambler. Bloom – played in this film by Jessica Chastain– eventually ran the world’s most exclusive high stakes poker game, playing alongside celebrities and sports stars for eight years, before the FBI started sniffing around the more questionable elements of her business.
Idris Elba plays her defence lawyer who backs her when the chips are down. Kevin Costner, Chris O'Dowd, Michael Cera and Brian D'Arcy James also feature. Having premiered at Toronto Film Festival, Molly's Game will arrive in the UK on 29 December.
