Once A Thief

John Woo directed this Euro-based caper movie in 1990 as a personal panacea after the critical mauling of Bullet In The Head, and while the mix of slapstick and kick-ass action is sometimes a little jarring, it's all entertaining enough.

The story follows three lifelong friends through their double-crossing cat-burglar exploits in France, with plenty of Woo's trademark dynamics and more than a hint of The Pink Panther.

Trademark Woo dynamics in this decent action thriller.
