Original Title:

Flu

Ably conveying panic and fear without generating much suspense, this fitfully satirical thriller follows South Korean firefighter Jang Hyuk and virologist Soo Ae's race to save her daughter and conquer a virulent contagion that has been spread by illegal immigrants.

If it manages to create an atmosphere of dread and uncertainty, Flu coughs and splutters to an unsatisfactory conclusion.
