Back in the 70s, Hal Needham was making an endless stream of jokey car chase movies with Burt Reynolds. In this 1986 film he tries to do something similar with BMX biking. Bill Allen is the local boy who enters the big race and comes out of nowhere to challenge the champ. The big business sponsors put obstacles in his way, but a nice girl and the helpful locals band together to see him through.

With the help of his girlfriend Christian, biker Cru Jones overcomes all the odds to particupate in the big race with a chance to take home the gold.
