Several current projects in the works are re-tellings of classic tales or stories that are being dug out again for new takes. Zack Snyder appears to be no stranger to that idea as he's apparently interested in exploring a King Arthur film.

The director, whose new, extended cut of Justice League hits HBO Max next month, is doing press for the movie and stopped by the I Minutemen podcast where he talked up the idea. "I’ve been working on something, but we’ll see…" says Snyder. "I’ve been thinking about some kind of retelling, like, a real sort of faithful retelling of that Arthurian mythological concept. We’ll see. Maybe that will come at some point." Given the twisty, cloudy nature of Arthurian myth, it's tough to see how 'faithful' applies, but Snyder's style linked to a medieval tale has some appeal. Now we wait to see whether this gets beyond the "thinking" stage.

Zack Snyder's Justice League hits HBO Max on 18 March, but there's still no official word on a UK date.
