David Duchovny's wife, the gorgeous Tea Leoni, has given birth to the couple's first child. Annett Wolf, publicist for the actress and star of Deep Impact said, "They're the proud parents of a baby girl." She also added that both mother and daughter were doing well. "They're happy and healthy." As yet unnamed, the new arrival hit the scales at 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was born Saturday at a hospital in Los Angeles. 33-year-old Leoni married Duchovny in May 1997. Now living in LA, they had originally met when introduced to one another by their agents. Production on the X-Files had recently been moved from Vancouver to Los Angeles, which Duchovny had pushed for so he could spend more time with his wife. Leoni is best known for her big screen role as a member of the press, as a broadcast journalist in 1998's asteroid disaster picture Deep Impact. For those that are perhaps on another planet, Duchovny plays FBI agent Fox Mulder on the hit series The X-Files.
