X-Girls Chosen

The cast for the movie version of the X-Men is almost in place with the news that Halle Berry (Bulworth, The Flintstones) is to play Storm, the super heroine with the power to control the elements. The role of Mystique goes to Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (who shimmies in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me), who will have to be daubed daily with blue paint to play the shape-shifting villainess. Due to start shooting in September, X-Men will be directed by Bryan Singer, and the rest of the line-up looks like this: Ian McKellen (Gods and Monsters) as Magneto Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: Next Generation) as Professor X Dougray Scott (Twin Town) as Wolverine Anna Paquin (The Piano) as Rogue.
