Will Smith is on the grift in Warner Bros.' conman movie **Focus **and Margot Robbie will be joining him to pick a metaphoric pocket or two. It seems that the Australian actress has emerged successful from a series of chemistry reads with Smith that saw her vanquish actresses of the calibre of Michelle Williams, Jessica Biel and Rose Byrne to snare the role opposite Smith. According to Variety, the final pick was between Robbie and Olivia Munn.

Smith, who could use a hit after the smoking ruins of After Earth, was himself a replacement for Ryan Gosling, originally picked to recreate Crazy, Stupid, Love's pairing with Emma Stone until scheduling issues kiboshed the plan.

**Crazy, Stupid, Love writer/director pair Glenn Ficarra and John Requa penned Focus, **which will see Robbie playing a ingénue confidence trickster who falls in with a more accomplished veteran of the art (Smith). Things get even knottier when the pair become romantically involved.

It's shaping up to be a big year or two for Robbie. Alongside Martin Scorsese's The Wolf Of Wall Street, the actress has Richard Curtis' time-travel romance About Time and the sure-to-be-awardsy Suite Francaise coming soon. There's also crime thriller Violent Talentin which she'll be locking lips with Garrett Hedlund as a gangster's moll.

C,S, L / Ed Wood producer Denise Di Novi is signing the cheques on this one.
