Premiering to acclaim at Sundance earlier this year, Menashe is a thoughtful, very human drama about a Hasidic Jewish community in New York, and one widower's grapple with traditions and expectations. Take a look below.
Set in Borough Park, Brooklyn – home to one of the largest Orthodox Jewish populations outside of Israel – the film follows a Hasidic Jewish man hoping to regain custody of his 10-year-old son.
With dialogue almost entirely in Yiddish, Menashe promises an insight into a community rarely covered by cinema. It arrives in cinemas on December 8. The first UK poster is below - with a nifty tagline to boot.
