Based on a forthcoming novel

Warners has picked up the movie rights to the forthcoming novel (oh, how we laughed when we heard its shocking title!), Drink, Play, F@#k.

The novel, by writer Andrew Gottlieb, is a male retort to the best-selling female favourite, Eat, Pray, Love. See what Gottlieb did there? He took the title of the ladies’ novel and changed the words from things that women like to do to things men like to do! What larks!

The novel follows a guy called Bob Sullivan who, after his wife leaves him, does what all guys do: goes on a bender in Ireland, heads to Vegas to fritter his cash away and then heads over to Thailand as a sex tourist. And along the way, we’re guessing, he learns valuable lessons about life, love and the usual.

The novel is yet to be released, so we’re at the very early stage with the movie adaptation, with no writer or director yet attached.
