Who Wants A First Look At Mel Smith?

Working Titles do, apparently. The Polygram-owned company has signed a two-year first-look deal with director Mel Smith, following his success with Bean. The move is hardly surprising, since the company was behind The Tall Guy , Smith's first directorial feature. There's no official word on what project will get the first nod, although Smith has said he's keen to handle something other than comedy for a change.
