All those of you who thought that parents using videos as a soporific for pre-school children was a bad thing have got it all wrong. According to new research, sitting down and watching videos makes children more sociable and imaginative than those who are not so lucky and only ever interact with other human beings. The study, headed by Dr. John Richer, clinical psychologist at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, concluded that children often learned songs from the films they watched and based play on the stories. The study was commissioned, coincidentally enough, by Disney - although that certainly wouldn't have influenced the findings.
