Mention agony to anyone in Hollywood these days and chances are you’ll be taken to meet anyone who sat the whole way through Showgirls.

But Elizabeth Berkley's nowhere in sight as Universal buys a script idea called Agony, from Scott Nimerfro.

The company has thrown the usual veil of security over its blushing new pitch bride, but we are told that it’s focused on the world of college urban legends, with one of them turning out to be painfully true. Hooray! Killer pub quizzes! Okay, maybe not.

Nimerfro – who has experienced his own brand of pain after working on Wes Craven’s Cursed – is now slaving away on the script itself.
