Total UK cinema admissions totalled 2.28 million for the second quarter of this year, an 18% increase on 1996's second quarter total of 1.92 million, according to the Cinema Advertising Association. Could it be that the mass onslaught of US blockbusters we've had this year is what people really, really want?
