People join Hitman

A whole bunch of names have joined the cast of video game movie adaptation Hitman. They're not names you'll recognise, but by virtue of being collections of consonants and vowels and being attached to anthropomorphic entities, they are undeniably names. Joining the ever awesome Timothy Olyphant as the chrome-domed killer on the run from InterpoI are Olga Kurylenko (Paris Je T'aime), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Ulrich Thomsen (Festen) and Michael Offei (Casino Royale). The film starts shooting this week under the eye of Zavier Gens, whose name we're incredibly jealous of.

Abbie Cornish to star in something strongly feminist and really Oscar worthy, but with a high possibility of misery

Abbie Cornish, talented young star of Candy, is to star in the next film by Jane Campion. Which means two things: 1) She'll almost certainly be nominated for loads of awards, like previous Campion collaborators Holly Hunter (The Piano) and Nicole Kidman (Portrait of a Lady) 2) The film's got a good chance of somehow boring us in spite of its technical quality and making us feel bad about being men. Cornish will play Fanny Brawne in Bright Star, the story of the romance between Brawne and poet John Keats, which was cut short when Keats died aged 25. The selfish sod.

Halle Berry Has Definitely Arrived

She might have an Oscar under her belt and a hefty asking price, but Halle Berry can now definitely say that she's a movie star. She's got her own paving slab. And not just any paving slab. She's getting one of those special ones with a star on it that you see on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Hers will be the 2,333rd on the walk and will be awarded next week.
