Todd Phillips Eyeing The Chadster

Todd Phillips, he who shepherded Old School and Starsky and Hutch towards much box office success and cult adorationy goodness, is flirting with the possibility of making The Chadster his next directing project. The Chadster centres on a best man (we're imagining a Luke Wilson type) who's role is threatened when a ker-azeh childhood friend (we're imagining an Owen Wilson type) shows up and starts disrupting the wedding. No Wilsons, nor any other actors have so far been approached to star. Before that, Phillips is set to direct Men for Warner Bros. His company is also producing an MTV show called Psycho Funky Chimp, which sounds so awesome that we don't want to look up what it's actually about because we know it can't be as good as the show we're running in our head.

Amy Adams Lives

Oscar nominee and generally lovely person, Amy Adams is to star opposite Frances McDormand in curiously named Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day. She'll play an American singer who makes friends with a fusty governess (McDormand) sent to live with her by mistake. Why did she not just ask the governess to leave, you ask? Well, that would be a rather dull film, wouldn't it? The film is currently shooting in the UK, so if you look out of your window, you might be able to see it.

Judd Appatow Making A Better Hugh

We have seen Judd Apatow's new movie, Knocked Up, and while you'll have to wait a while for the official review, our current feelings on it are along the lines of: "Oh god, that was totally...you know when he, like, did that – I was nearly on the floor. And what about that guy? He was – I just couldn't believe. And her! Wow, And with the thing. Awesome, just really – I mean I can't say enough. Whew". So, yeah, we're very pleased to hear that he's set up his next movie, A Whole New Hugh, about three men who try to boost their schlubby friend's confidence by making him appear successful. We're also very pleased that he's chosen a Daily Show cast member to be his lead. Do we know which one Ed Helms is? No, we do not. But we like the Daily Show very much, so we're happy. Wheeeeeeee!
