Figuring that their previous dabbling with real-life people - Diane Arbus biopic Fur - landed them the likes of Nicole Kidman, production company Vox3 has nabbed the rights to Peter Alson’s memoir Confessions Of An Ivy League Bookie.

The book’s intriguing, true story focuses on Alson’s life as a hard-up Harvard graduate who got a different type of education working as a bookie in New York.

Alson has signed on to write the script alongside writer/director David Greenwald. And if they produce something they’re happy with, Greenwald will kick off shooting next spring.
