The words "David Fincher and Spike Jonze present" could well give you the wrong idea of what to expect from The Fall. The latest film from Tarsem Singh has little in common with the work of those two directors, though they were instrumental in pushing the director to make it, but it is a big, big step up from his last film The Cell. You can watch the trailer for the fantasy movie below, courtesy of IGN. You can see a big ass version here.

The Fall is an adventure film told from the point of view of a small girl in hospital with a broken arm. She buddies up with an American actor who tells her a story that then plays out featuring people she knows from the hospital, a little like a whacked out Wizard of Oz. We saw it earlier this year and it's probably not going to be a film that appeals to everyone, but the performance by little Catinca Untaru is one of the best child performances of recent years and there's no denying the beauty of the film. See what you think from the trailer.
