Tragedy of Oscar winner

It's got to be one of the saddest stories you'll read all year. Haing Ngor, who played photo-journalist Dith Pran in The Killing Fields, was murdered because he wouldn't hand over a photo of his late wife, an LA court was told. According to Prosecutor Craig Hum, three alleged gang members ordered Ngor to give up his Rolex watch, which he did, but then he refused to hand over a gold locket which contained the picture. "Ultimately this photo, which meant more to Dr. Ngor than life itself, is the reason why he died," said Hum.
