Mission: Impossible 7 has been shooting around the world for a while now, and director Christopher McQuarrie has been putting behind-the-scenes images of the production on Instagram. He's now added to the collection with a shot that could be the first official pic of the film – especially since it features Tom Cruise doing what he so often does in M:I movies... running.
Yes, it's not much to go on at this point, but at least it's a glimpse at the new movie, which also features returning veterans Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett and Ving Rhames, plus new faces Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff and more. Plus new old face Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge.
Also a secret for now? The story, which we can naturally assume will feature some variation of Cruise's Ethan Hunt globe-hopping on a seemingly impossible mission.
With shooting all but wrapped up on the seventh film, there will be a pause while Cruise heads off to promote Top Gun: Maverick, and then the cast and crew will reassemble for the eighth film.
