Up-and-coming director Todd Lincoln has signed on to write and direct The Apparition, a new haunted house horror movie from Dark Castle. Never heard of him? Well, neither had we, but we've been reading up and it's possible he's actually quite good.
Apparently Lincoln made his name with a couple of short films that were well received at film festivals, before making a string of commercials and music videos. Since then he was attached to The Fly remake and has been working on a live-action version of Hack/Slash for Rogue Pictures (although that seems to have stalled since the ComicCon announcement of its development in 2006). He's also working on The Nye Incidents, also at Dark Castle, based on the graphic novel that sees a medical examiner hunting someone who is killing off people who claim to have been abducted by aliens.
The reason we're telling you all about Lincoln is that the plot details for **The Apparition **are still under wraps; apart from the fact that it's set around a haunted house and is allegedly "based on a true story", we got nothin'. We're going to go ahead and predict that it will involve someone seeing something that isn't really there (or is it?! Etc.), but other than that, let the wild speculation begin.
