Penning Damn Nation for Paramount

Thor Writers Switch To Vampires

They've been busy cranking out script pages about Norse warriors for months, so it must be a refreshing change for Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz - the writers of Thor - to switch to something else for Paramount's Damn Nation.

That something, however, is a subject many of us are probably a little bit sick of seeing on screen by now: vampires. Which, given that they also write for JJ Abrams' weird science show Fringe, shouldn't be too much for a stretch.

Damn Nation will be adapted from the Dark Horse comic written by Andrew Cosby that sees a futuristic America evacuated after a nasty attack by "inhuman nocturnal predators." The US government is forced to relocate to London (we knew those colonials would come crawling back! And all it took were some fangs!) while those left back home try to survive.

There's a ticking clock, too, as the world's scientists race to find a solution to the annoying vampiric pests.

No director or cast are attached yet, but given how popular vamps are right now, we bet Paramount will try to get this one on the fast track.
