Charlie's Angels: The Movie finally has a third celestial being on board to kick criminal ass, according to US site Mr Showbiz. After months of rumours, a third angel has been cast, with the honours falling to Zimbabwean-British actress Thandie Newton. She joins Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in preparatory kickboxing / ninja / shooting classes (we think).
Though a relative unknown compared to the illustrious company she'll be keeping, Newton's career has been on an upward swing lately. She recently starred in Beloved, the adaptation Toni Morrison's hit novel, and is currently finishing up on Mission Impossible: 2 in Australia. Angels is set to start shooting in December, thought the role of sidekick Bosley has yet to be filled. Empire Online is rooting for the sublime Bill Murray, who may or may not be cutting a deal.
