Just because you win an Oscar for writing a movie – as Taika Waititi did on Sunday night for his work on Jojo Rabbit – doesn't mean you can't ask for a little aid on a future project. That's exactly what the director of Marvel's Thor: Love And Thunder is doing, recruiting Jennifer Kaytin Robinson to work on the script with him.
No reason for the addition appears in Variety's report on the move, but with Waititi's busy schedule (he's been shooting Next Goal Wins even as time ticks away to the start of production later this year for the next Thor), it's perhaps not a shock.
Add to that the fact that the film will feature the return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster and finds the character assuming the mantle of Thor (or a version), it's not a surprise that Waititi might want to have a female voice in the writing room.
Robinson created the TV series Sweet/Vicious and wrote the film Someone Great for Netflix. As for Love And Thunder, the movie is scheduled to arrive on 5 November next year. Remember! Remember!
