Superman has many powers, but now it looks like he’s adding another to his repertoire – the incredible feat of Changing Executives’ Minds.
Warner Brothers, in need of a little box office success after Poseidon proceeded to sink almost without trace, has decided to bump Superman Returns up by two days from its planned US release date of 30 June to Wednesday 28 June. This is presumably to let the Man Of Steel grab as much box office as possible.
"We were always considering this an option," Warners Bros president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman told Variety. "I'm glad that we are in a position to do it and take advantage of the summer holiday playtime."
There’s no word on whether this will affect the UK’s planned release date of 14 July, but stay tuned to the best source for Super-news: Empire.
