Summit Entertainment, the studio behind Twilight, has snapped up the script to a thriller called The Cold Light Of Day.
Set in Spain, it’s the story of a young American whose family are kidnapped while on holiday, leaving him with mere hours to battle local bureaucracy and a shadowy conspiracy in an effort to get them back.
So it’s Taken with a Spanish flavour, then. Which might not be such a bad thing.
Scott Wiper and John Petro wrote the script, to which there’s no director or cast currently attached. But, with filming scheduled to start in the spring, that will change asap. Summit is jointly financing the flick along with Intrepid Pictures.
