Stars Banned From Ground Zero

New York's famous faces have been ordered to stay clear of the World Trade Center disaster effort because they're holding up work on the site. In particular, it's the stars who haven't been invited, but who turn up on spec and talk their way on to the site who are causing all the problems. The director of New York's Office of Emergency Management Richard Sheirer explained the situation in today's Times; 'We've asked celebrities and people in the entertainment business to please not go to the site. It's a very dangerous place to go walking around. When we bring people down there it's a very controlled situation. Those people who try to go on their own create problems. 'They think they're helping. That's a very dangerous construction site right now. It's a crime scene. This is hallowed ground and it needs to be treated accordingly.'
