The start of shooting for Star Wars Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi is roaring towards us like a ship moving at light speed, but there is still time for a new recruit. Pen15 co-creator and co-star Maya Erskine will be part of the ensemble.

While the story for the show is – shocker! – a secret right now, we do know that it'll follow Ewan McGregor's Jedi Master a decade after Revenge Of The Sith and nine years before A New Hope. Hayden Christen (as Darth Vader), Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie are all in the cast.

Deborah Chow, a veteran of shows such as The Mandalorian, is on board to direct the new series, which has had to wait through script re-writes and pandemic delays. Now, though, the six hour-long episodes are finally headed towards production.
