After that bombshell at the end of that episode of The Mandalorian, some more official details have arrived regarding what comes next. And if you’re set to see the Mando finale? Well, maybe you’re best off coming back after you’ve watched it...

Well, as you’ll know, the Season 2 finale closed out with a post-credits sequence announcing something by the name of The Book Of Boba Fett – and now, we know officially that it’s another Mando spin-off series, following everyone’s favourite badass bounty hunter. Jon Favreau went on Good Morning America to talk up the Boba show, and expand a bit more on what it means – confirming that it’s separate to Mando Season 3.
“We wanted to hold this back [from the Investor’s Day reveals] because we didn’t want to spoil the surprise,” he says, “and so they let me keep this one a secret. This is actually separate from The Mandalorian Season 3, but what we didn’t say in that announcement is that the next show coming up – Kathy said the next chapter, and that’s going to be The Book Of Boba Fett. And then we go into production right after that on Season 3 of The Mandalorian, back with the main character that we all have known and loved. That’s going to be pretty soon following that, we’re working on that pre-production now while we’re in production on Boba Fett.” This is the way... a franchise is built.
