In a move that most people would view as entirely predictable, the scope of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park attractions landing at Disney's two sites in the States extends beyond the limits of the park. You'll be able to purchase tie-in Marvel comics (which had previously been announced) and now there will also be books based on the zones of the attraction.

The Galaxy's Edge Marvel miniseries, written by Ethan Sacks with art by Will Sliney, will explore the areas, people and creatures of the place with stories set on the planet Batuu.

On the books front, Delilah Dawson is writing Black Spire, which sees General Leia dispatching a spy to the planet to search for potential allies of the resistance, a nod to the Rise Of The Resistance ride contained within the park.

There's also a young adult novel called A Crash Of Fate by Zoraida Cordova, which follows what happens when two reunited childhood friends must escape smugglers on the planet, and Star Wars: Myths And Fables from George Mann and illustrated by Grant Griffin, featuring a variety of stories including two set on Batuu.

Galaxy's Edge is scheduled to open this summer in at Disneyland in California, followed by an autumn launch in Walt Disney World in Florida.
