The news is out! Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox have announced that the most eagerly awaited film of the decade - Star Wars: Episode One - will be released in cinemas in the UK on July 16th 1999 approximately 4 weeks after its US opening. Those who can't wait that long for a dose of the wars will be able to slake their thirst with the trailer, which premiered in Leicester Square yesterday to ecstatic reviews, which will screen as of now to accompany screenings of The Prince Of Egypt. In a strange twist though the trailer merely titles the film Star Wars Episode One, the controversial subtitle The Phantom Menace having apparently been abandoned . . .
