Well it's official, we here at Empire Online know what we want for Christmas and it's the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD. We won't get it, of course, because the damned thing's not available but, according to Bothan spies, this holy grail of DVD releases is now, finally, in sight. Unsubstantiated rumours have hit the Net that the original trilogy is slated to make its debut in September 2004 - that's less than a year away!. A year you say, that's bloody ages. Well, yes but if you consider that we've waited 26 years so far, another ten months probably won't kill us. But that's not all, an alleged insider told Aintitcool that the Episode III teaser campaign will kick off promptly in January 2005 and that Episode III will make its DVD and video debut in November of the same year, just six months after it appears in cinemas. Still not convinced? Well apparently there are also two special Star Wars television projects in the works, though details were not divulged. There's no official word from LucasFilm as to whether a word of this is true, but here's hoping.
