Lucasfilm has released the first full trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which you can see here at Yahoo.
As we all know, the film, and subsequent TV series, concern the period of the Clone Wars – although this film seems to kick off with the kidnap of Jabba The Hutt's son – but what you'll probably be most interested in is the look of the animation.
The look will probably divide fans because it's extremely stylised, occasionally making characters look a little like they're carved from wood. It works better for some that others, but we're warming to it. Earlier looks had made us wonder if this would look comfortable on the big screen and not just like a TV show with pretensions. But the footage in this trailer, particularly from the battle scenes, is looking very dynamic and, importantly, cinematic.
