Journalist punished for publishing Kidman-Cruise conversation

A journalist who sold a recording of a phone call made by Nicole Kidman to her husband Tome Cruise was sentenced in a Los Angeles court on Monday. Eric Ford, who sold a transcript of the conversation to a tabloid newspaper, has to serve six months in a half way house as well as performing 150 hours of community service and paying a fine of $3,000. District Judge Terry Hatter also requested that Ford refrain from using any electronic surveillance equipment in the future.
