Author Thomas Harris has finally completed Hannibal, his sequel to the Oscar-winning psychological thriller, The Silence of The Lambs. The book - which once again concentrates on the relationship between Hannibal Lecter and FBI agent Clarice Starling - is intended for launch by his publishers in June. A feat they are surely breaking open the champagne for as they've had to wait an incredible ten years for Harris to pen it. The original film won five Oscars in 1992. Sir Anthony Hopkins won best actor and Jodie Foster won best actress for their portrayals of Lecter and Starling, while Jonathan Demme won best director. With the book now ready for release, the race is on in Hollywood to secure the movie rights.
