Action fans pay attention - the news section of this month's Empire magazine has a mouth-watering interview with Shane Black, and the writer/director shared his plans for the latest instalment of his genre-defining franchise.
"My new Lethal Weapon script is set in New York in a blizzard. It's different." Black goes on to talk about the new characters he is introducing, and which series regulars might be returning i.e. a certain Mr. Gibson. Black also hinted that he might be lining himself up to direct the film, which has the entire online team practically drooling. Okay, we lied. We are actually drooling.
For added points, Black also spoke to us at length about his latest directorial effort, Cold Warrior, which is about a retired spy and veteran of the Cold War who is called back into active service when the Russians demand to deal only with him, and suddenly he finds himself thrust into the vastly different world of modern day espionage. “It’s about old school espionage versus this new breed of peacekeeper spy” says Black. We can’t wait.
