Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne have shared the screen twice, in the Bad Neighbours movies, and they're looking to play friends with issues in new Apple TV+ series Platonic.

Nick Stoller, who directed both of the films, is behind the new show, which he wrote with his wife and creative partner Francesca Delbanco. Apple has handed out a 10-episode order to the series, which explores the inner workings of platonic friendship. A pair of former best friends who met in their youth (Byrne and Rogen) reconnect as adults and try to mend the rift that led to their falling out. As their friendship becomes more consuming, it destabilizes their lives and causes them to reevaluate their choices.

According to Deadline, the plan for the show is to be an anthology set up, which follows different pairs each season.
