Screen Actors Guild Noms Announced

The Screen Actors has announced its nominations for the best performances of 2007. Into The Wild had the most nominations with four, but the nods were spread pretty widely among the year's best. Michael Clayton managed three nominations, as did No Country For Old Men, and Cate Blanchett got two nods for The Golden Age and I'm Not There.

Into The Wild's success pushes this forward in the Oscar race with such a large portion of the Academy made up of actors. Could this make Emile Hirsch the frontrunner for Best Actor?

One film that many have spoken of as the one to beat at the Oscars could manage only one nomination. Daniel Day Lewis was the sole nominee for There Will Be Blood, despite the phenomenal performance in the same film from Paul Dano. This movie could prove too challenging for the safer members.
